Dear Parent
In Assembly today our pupils were informed about the Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel Challenge. This challenge runs from Monday 24 March – Friday 4 April 2025, however, we plan to use next week as a trial event and the following week (Monday 31 March to Friday 4 April) as our school challenge.
During this event we are encouraging as many pupils as possible to walk, scoot or cycle to school. We realise that this is not feasible for those pupils who live a significant distance away from school. However, we would encourage parents to park close to the school grounds and make the final part of your journey by foot, bike or scooter.
Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel is a great way to build physical activity in children’s daily routine which is important for their physical health and mental wellbeing.
