Re: BUSY BEES CLUB 3.00 – 5.00pm

I wrote to you on Tuesday 27 June where I indicated that we would have to cancel Busy Bees this year due to a lack of interest.  Having consulted with a number of parents and had a positive response to the survey we are now in a position that Busy Bees will run from 3.00 – 5.00pm each day while school is open.

It will follow the timetable as outlined below:

3.00 – 3.15pm         Registration

3.15 – 3.45pm         Homework, Colouring, Reading – Quiet time for those completing homeworks

3.45 – 4.15pm         Snack Time – provided by school e.g. toast & juice

4.15 – 5.00pm         Activity Time – art & craft, sports etc.

This will cost £8 per day.

While this was never designed to be a money making venture for the school it has to cover its costs. I am therefore relying on the 53 people who responded saying they would use this facility to do so.  Please note the club will be reviewed each term to ensure it is covering its costs.

I understand that this has been a stressful time for parents whose children use this facility and I apologise for any uncertainty.  I do however want to stress that this club is reliant on our parents who have committed to using it being true to their word.  This club is a great addition to our school, however, it needs to be supported in sufficient numbers in order to be maintained.

I would also like to wish you all an enjoyable summer break and look forward to seeing you on Wednesday 30 August.
