School Trip Our annual residential school trip for Year 7 children takes place on Monday 17 June to Wednesday 19 June to the Share Centre. A meeting for parents of all children attending will be held on Monday 3 June at 3.00pm. It is essential that parents attend as permission slips, medical forms and the itinerary will be given out. |
SEAG Arrangements After school tuition for those Year 6 pupils planning to sit the forthcoming SEAG test in the autumn term began last Wednesday and will continue from now until the end of June from 3.00 – 4.00pm. |
PTA Meeting Our next PTA meeting is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 23 April at 7pm in the school staffroom. Please attend if possible as we will be starting to plan for our ‘Fun Night’ which is our main fundraising event and is scheduled for Wednesday 26 June. Thanks to all who supported our PTA Easter Basket Raffle which raised approximately £750. |
School Nurse Visit: Letters inviting Year 1 pupils and any recalls from last year were sent home today from the school nursing team. It is vital that these are returned to school by Friday 19 April and parents must indicate if they give permission for the school nurse to review their child. |
School Mobile Number and Busy Bees We now have a school mobile for contacting Busy Bees Club. Any phone calls after 4.00pm should be made to this number 07359710943. We would advise storing this number for future reference as it will also be used for school trips and other outings. Busy Bees continues to run each afternoon from 3.00pm until 5.00pm at a cost of £8. This can be booked via the online booking system used for school dinners. |
School Photographs School photographs for Year 1 and Year 7 class groups have been booked for Wednesday 22 May. Year 7 friendship groups and sports teams will also be taken on this day. |
Sports Day We plan to hold our KS1 & KS2 Sports Day on week commencing Monday 3 June. However, given the current weather conditions this is difficult to predict at this stage! We will keep you updated closer to the time, however, if there is a spell of good weather towards the end of May/June we may hold it at short notice. |
Little Learners Our next Little Learners event is scheduled for Friday 17 May. Details will be shared via our Social Media pages.

Sports Team Our Football Team will be competing in the McDonalds 6’s Inter Football Competition on Friday 17 May, at The Station Centre. Good luck to all involved. Our rugby team will also be involved in upcoming tournaments this term. |
Year 4 Paired Reading Programme Our Year 4 pupils will commenced a 6 week Paired Reading Project on Monday 15 April – Friday 24 May. This programme has always provided to be highly beneficial in the past. Any parent who missed the initial meeting should contact their child’s class teacher for further information.

Cycling Proficiency Letters regarding cycling proficiency for Year 7 pupils were sent out last week. These sessions start tomorrow, Thursday 18 April. Those pupils participating should ensure their bikes are in good condition and are left in the cycling stands in the staff car park when they bring them to school. |
