Open Week & Online Applications
It was lovely to have parents back in school for our Christmas Shows. We also had parents in before Christmas to show them and any potential new Year 1 pupils what our school is like.
If you missed booking one of our Open Evening sessions or know anyone who is considering applying for a Year 1 place for their child and would like a tour of the school please email Mr Sterritt on ksterritt616@c2kni.net or phone the school on 02882244552.
Year 1 Applications must be completed online. The application procedure opens with online portal on Tuesday 10 January and closes on Friday 27 January at 12noon. Please note all applications must upload the child’s Birth Certificate.
After School Activities
We are trialling running after school activities from 2.15 – 3.00pm for all pupils in school. These will run until Easter with certain year groups having specific days and times. We will provide more details next week.
Y1 – 3 Parent Teacher Interviews
Our parental consultations are scheduled to take place on our Staff Development Day, Monday 20 February. We will be resuming to face to face interviews lasting approximately 15 minutes. This is an important opportunity for you to discuss your child’s progress with their class teacher. We aim to conduct these throughout the day commencing at 9.00am – 3.00pm. A letter will be sent home in the coming days/weeks regarding this.
Y7 Transfer Interviews & AQE Results – All Year 7 parents must complete their application for Post Primary School online before Thursday 23 February at 4pm. Mr Sterritt will meet every parent to discuss pupil progress, Post Primary placement and the online process. Details will be sent home next week.
AQE results will be distributed on Saturday 4 February. Any parent who wishes to discuss their result (or receive it if your post is late) should email ksterritt616@c2kni.net that morning and he will phone you back.
KITCHEN ASSISTANT REQUIRED – We have been asked to let our parents and friends of the school community know that the school kitchen is looking to recruit staff. The post is 10 hours per week (2 hours per day Monday – Friday). If interested, please contact our Head Cook, Mrs Ruth Johnston, on 028 82 244831.

- Drumragh Integrated College – Thursday 12 January at 6.00pm
- Omagh High School – Thursday 19 January – 2.00 – 4.00pm and 5.00 – 7.00pm
- Omagh Academy – Thursday 2 February at 6.30pm
Charity Collections – I am pleased to inform you that we collected £600 for Save the Children via our Christmas Jumper Day and our retiring collection at the Y4-7 Carol Service equated to a remarkable £775 for Air Ambulance NI. Thanks to everyone who contributed.
