Gibson Primary School has excellent facilities to extend children’s learning. We have extensive outdoor play areas including three playgrounds and two large grassed areas.

We use our outdoor learning environment to stimulate and challenge our children. We have a sensory zone which comprises musical instruments, different sensory planting areas and a performance area. We also have a large forested area which has seating areas and a viewing platform as well as its own polytunnel. 

To maximise the learning potential of these areas, Numeracy, Literacy and other curricular subjects are being taken outdoors so that our children can develop many life skills through a sensory approach and experiential learning.
